    The Aroma of Coffee

Ninja Coffee Bar Brewer with Glass Carafe (CF080Z) Product Review

Having a coffee machine at home makes the morning life much easier especially with the current technology where you push a button and out comes a cup of coffee. Some machines make it great, some terrible, there are those that make a different tasting cup every time and a lot of them think that they are printers so they refuse to work at all. They have classy and complex French or Italian names to give you the impression that you’re a luxury item but as soon as you dig into the options and build quality a bit, you find out that they’re pretty much all the same underneath. Wouldn’t it be refreshing if there was a machine that was honest about itself?

Ninja Coffee Bar Brewer with Glass Carafe

This one machine seems to be pretty honest about what it is and what it does. It has no sense of humor and doesn’t give a damn about aesthetics. It doesn’t care one little bit about legacy and tradition. It despises fake buttons and displays, it frowns upon gimmicky options that you’ll never use. This contraption is here to make coffee and chew bubble gum. And it’s all out of bubble gum. It’s called the Ninja.

No complex names and brands, just a single name stands on top of this pumped up loyal soldier who exists only to make your morning better and easier. How cool is it to have something called the NINJA on your countertop? It looks the part too! Black trims, brushed stainless steel and glass, it is as stealth as it can get and is probably something the Batman would own in his cave. Just by looking at it you are immediately clear that this machine isn’t here to be an ornament, it is here to do its job and it’s gonna do it with the surgical precision of a military smart bomb.

It doesn’t have (or need) posh pots and special cups. You choose what size of coffee you crave, be it a cup, travel mug, half carafe, full carafe and it’s gonna brew your drink directly into the container. It can also brew classic, rich, over ice or specialty, an option which branches to near infinity with its capabilities, not unlike what a coffeehouse would do. The specialty option can create the highest concentration of coffee, something that you won’t find in any but the most expensive and advanced machines. It can even create layered beverages right there on your countertop. If that doesn’t impress you, then you’re impossible to impress for sure.

This bad boy is smart too – it knows when to deliver the perfect amount of water for your cup’s size and brew type. You don’t need to mess about with measuring or refilling the reservoir as it has an ingenious auto metering function. Even if you forget to pick up your coffee, it will keep it warm with the heated platform up to 2 hours, after which it will auto shut off.

Whereas other machines have plastic carafes, this one has a proper glass one which is just a small touch but makes all the difference when it comes to giving you the impression that you’re owning a heavy duty machine. If you’re looking for a machine that will look fancy in your kitchen (otherwise known as “all show no go”) then look elsewhere, this is not for you. If you’re serious about coffee and won’t accept anything short of the best, give this Ninja a chance to show you how it’s really done.
